I am not a big fan of D&G but I lovvvveeeedd their Spring-Summer 2009 collection from head to toe. The Mediterranean look that they borrowed from Capri and French Riviera is very inspiring and can be felt throughout the whole collection from swimming wear to fluid night dresses. The combination of casual marine theme with elegance and richness was melted in a pot successfully. Blue, white and red colors, anchors, sailor pants, tailored jackets, gold effects, and Chanel inspired chicness with boucle fabrics and cropped, colarless jackets, all resemble the sailors in azur blue. It's such a good taste...

Vivienne Westwood Red Label spring-summer 2009
We've already observed that coming summer would be the follower of season before in terms of checks. From Marc Jacobs to Diesel, from Miss Sixty to Michael Kors, runways were full of checks. They are generally not too heavy, blueish or greyish effects on light, neutral colors. Being British, Vivienne Westwood's collection was heavily based on checks. It is interesting to see same patterned fabric both in formal and informal styles. I also liked her African inspired dresses. It is very common to see African women in their local dresses with those gorgeus prints on streets of New York, Paris or London. So it is nice to see this inspiration also on catwalks.

miss sixty summer 2009 collection
topshop unique is sooooo '80s
I personally dislike '80s style quite a bit. Big bows on heads, highwaist, acid washed jeans, too much color, big shoulders, RayBan style pilot shades, big prints...They are all back to life in Topshop summer 2009 collection. No single item, reminding '80s seems to have been forgotten...
My personal opinion? Not my type at all...Hoping not to see them on the streets, either...
