Nostalgic `20s

Free People's book, "Through the Decades" book tells us about fashion trends throughout the years from "those old times" to today's modern days. Romantic and misty images of '20s chapter gives us hints about the rest of the book. I just wanted to go back to these old good days, when I saw those picturesque images taken in beautiful European streets and cafes. David Bellemere shot Elsa Hosk, Zuzanna&Julia Bijoch sisters sooooo pretty.

Diesel Black Gold Spring 2012 Collection

Next year's summer theme is reflection for Diesel. This must be the reason of having this many gold and silver garments in the collection. Although I can't imagine myself reflecting that much, I still liked the combination of metallic pieces with white. I especially admired long shirts coming out of mini shorts, combined with masculen jackets. Adorable!

Yamamato is well known with his contradictory designs. His Spring 2012 collection is not a surprise, either. The bride and the "groom" in his show look so picturesque that seems like a reminiscence of Tim Burton movie, Corpse Bride. Lovely!

Bebe Spring 2012 Collection

In fact, Bebe is not one of my favorite brands. Additionally, I sometimes find its nightwear over exaggerated. However this collection which was pure white with a romantic Edwardian style took my breath away. Now I found that the company changed its designer and he was brave enough to turn the brand's image upside down. That's a brave move and I am happy to see the result. All these models looking like Gibson Girl are amazingly beautiful in these white clothes made of saten or chiffon, with lots of ribbons, ruffles, and laces.

Playful Models of Hugo Boss Orange

Obviously, models had a lot of fun during the shooting of Hugo Boss Orange Fall 2011 ad campaign. Images made me smile with natural and comfotable poses which are actually a part of daily life. In the background beautiful Amsterdam, in front, innocent and natural models are very harmonic with the casual style of Hugo Boss Orange line as contrast to the brand's serious image that we are actually used to. Number of denim pieces in the first resort collection of famous denim brand, Acne is very low. However, the combination of those few denim pieces with elegant materials such as taffeta, organza, silk and linen, high volume of destruction on them to create a contrast with chic dresses and skirts made them stand out of the collection. I believe, it's a good idea to attract young city girls who like looking chic and feeling the comfort at the same time.
