matrioshkas in designer brands

Designers worked hard again, but this time not to dress up fashion dolls whom we see on the catwalks. It is more like Hello Kitty wearing Dior designs for Vogue Japan (that was cosiecosie's first post). To celebrate Vogue Russia's 10th year anniversary, fashion's biggest names such as Armani, YSL, Marc Jacobs were asked to design a dress for Matrioshka (Russian doll). They will be auctioned on November 20th at a party for charity.
Designers sketched and Russian craftsmen hand painted these dolls. Result was astonishing : 50 cm dolls with unique dresses as pieces of art. What I liked the most about this work is the fact that you can really guess which doll was designed by which designer. These dolls really resemble the style of their creators. My favorite? Gipsy matrioshka designed my Giorgio Armani.
