15th Anniversary of Harper's Bazaar

For the celebration of Harper's Bazaar's 15th anniversary, our favorite designers designed custom covers for the magazine. Each beautiful cover of Harper's Bazaar Russia was designed by designers such as Dolce&Gabbana, Micheal Kors, Giorgio Armani, and Moschino. I asked myself which cover I'd pick if I was in Russia and found out that probabilty of getting each one would be pretty high. The conclusion? I guess it's better that I'm not there right now for the sake of my wallet :)

Nostalgic `20s

Free People's book, "Through the Decades" book tells us about fashion trends throughout the years from "those old times" to today's modern days. Romantic and misty images of '20s chapter gives us hints about the rest of the book. I just wanted to go back to these old good days, when I saw those picturesque images taken in beautiful European streets and cafes. David Bellemere shot Elsa Hosk, Zuzanna&Julia Bijoch sisters sooooo pretty.

Playful Models of Hugo Boss Orange

Obviously, models had a lot of fun during the shooting of Hugo Boss Orange Fall 2011 ad campaign. Images made me smile with natural and comfotable poses which are actually a part of daily life. In the background beautiful Amsterdam, in front, innocent and natural models are very harmonic with the casual style of Hugo Boss Orange line as contrast to the brand's serious image that we are actually used to. Giselle Bundchen for Harper’s Bazaar

The gowns are pretty, Giselle Bundchen is gorgeus, I have no problem with that. Karl Lagerfelf might have wanted to create a fairytale inspired by a princess, I respect that,too. But isn't there anything more important for a "modern day" princess than waiting for her prince to come ? She starts the day at 10 am with her great white gown with tulle, and can't decide what else to wear for the rest of the day....Decisions, decisions...Life must seem so hard to some of us ( especially to some who are bored of doing fashion design for Chanel).

Fashion of Swan Lake

The effect of Black Sawn movie to the fashion world is obvious. Magazines are wide open to the Swan beauty- Natalie Portman who was featured on Vogue cover recently and on many others. Vogue Russia February 2011 issue featured Denisa Dvorakova Ballet. Photographer Jason Schmidt shot elegant photos of Svorakova in gowns among all other ballerinas. Worth checking

Harry Potter beauty posed for Marie Clair Us December 2010 issue. Lovely face with nice pic of outfits made the best of the shots taken by Tesh. I must admit that i loved her short style the most. Short hair style has a strong attachment with a beautiful face. Her beauty is now embossed with this hair style, just like Twiggy. Amazing to see how alike they are!

These images from W magazine December issue reminded me the daughter of Addams Family, Wednesday. She had the same cold look and distanced attitude. The snow storm atmosphere made these mystic images even more sophisticated. I still liked this circus family that looks like coming out of a fairy tale.

Lanvin for H&M

After Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli, Matthew Williamson, Sonia Rykiel and Rei Kawakubo, Alber Elbaz of Lanvin will do a cheap-chic collection for H&M. A preview of the line will be shown in a film Nov. 2 on www.hm.com.
"This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world,'' Elbaz said in a press release.

Denim Craze in H&M

H&M Magazine Spring 2010 shoots are ultra casual and still very stylish. I don't know if it is because of the beauty of Erin Wasson or just because of the trendy denim models. It must be both since it is really hard to be effortlessly chic with a plain white tee only. Boyfriend and skinny jeans, acid washes, high waist shorts, all of them are great. Still haven't gone out shopping?

Long Live Casual Chicness!

Blonde Magazine March 2010 issue is showing us the upcoming summer casual trends. Anna Baeva majorly wore jeans on the shoots (including denim on denim as we mentioned before). Photographs are also washed out like the jeans she has on to support the faded denim trend as much as possible. It seems that boyfriend jeans fit is as powerful as slim fit, even more powerful. Although colored denim has never been my style, clearly enough it's coming, too. Opposite to the general image of magazine photo shoots, all these items seem wearer friendly enough:) If you don't have a danim jacket, a pair of denim shorts, and perhaps a denim vest, you might consider investing in ;)

Agynes and Her Boyfriend On US Vogue

She is adorable with a perfect looking face and her racy style. Agynes Deyn and her boyfriend Albert hammond Jr of the Strokes posed for U.S. Vogue February issue. Micael Jansson photographed them in a sepia-feeling, vintage atmosphere. With some beautiful scenes from a daily life of an ordinary couple, I think these photos are very romantic.
