Christian Lacroix faces bankruptcy
Christian Lacroix became a victim of the global financial crisis. The French fashion house Christian Lacroix has filed for legal protection from creditors; job cuts and a possible sale are potential scenarios to rescue the brand.
Despite the 22 years of unbelievable success , the company failed to break even this year. Lacroix's CEO says the company's sales has dropped %35 for the fall/winter season.
The loss of Lacroix to Paris Fashion Week will be massive, but the designer hopes to show as normal during the July couture season. We hope the company finds a new buyer soon..
