are you a shoe or a purse?

OK, this is on top of my head now, dont judge me on this..
Remember when Rachel Green from the famous tv series F.R.I.E.N.D.S was trying to convince her
father that she would not be marrying the guy- which by the way i do not even remember the name -
I loved the description she gave ;

"Daddy listen to me! It's like all of my life, everyone's always said to me, 'You're a shoe! You're a shoe! You're a shoe! You're a shoe!' And then today I just stopped and I said 'What if I don't want to be a shoe? What if I want to be a purse? Or a hat?'" (Her dad says something) "No I don't want you to buy me a hat, I'm saying I am a ha... It's a metaphor Daddy!"

When i saw the wierd shoe-purse designs i remembered of the quote, it fits well ,eh?
