80s - Laura Branigan...Self Control

While I'm writing the lyrics of the songs,which i listened at the university and the high school, drawing the singers of the musics.

Laura Branigan was born on 3th July,1957 in Brewster, which are located outside of New York City. Self Control(1984) is the most memorable Album of Laura. I lost unfortunately many of her albums wenn I was young. Laura Branigan, most of whose songs I listen to with pleasure, passed away from brain haemorrage on 26 August 2004. She had 4 Grammy awards.

I share the following video with you all to remember again Laura's beautiful voice. Pls close your eyes and go back in time to your youth!

Lessons to Learn from Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra

It was one of the most enjoyable concerts I've ever attented. The energy of young musicians outspreaded to every corner of the concert hall and captured my soul. Fabulous Gustavo Dudamel's dancing hands over the orchestra were like birds flying with the flow of the wind. I'm so thankful to my sweet husband for such a precious gift! Please give yourself some extra time to watch below video of Danzon No:2 composed by Arturo Marquez to feel the energy of these mythical people who see music as a social movement.

BUMC Jazz Choir's Outstanding Success

To be able to find a sponsorship to go to Graz, Austria to attend World Choir Championships, Bogazici Jazz Choir created a video showing them singing " The Battle of Jericho" on a busy metro. The video became so powerful that not only they found a sponsor, but also they became famous. They flew to Austia and came back today as a world champion! On reading this news, I had to watch the video again, and thought " Why not sharing?"

Daily inspiration: Fazil Say's Bach-Che

He dedicated his life to musical notes as mentioned on ntvmsnbc. He wrote his first composition at age 16, he is one of the best virtuosos in the world with his piano. Maybe he is better known in the world than in his own country. Maybe he is more respected in the world than in his country. But he is stubborn enough to believe in his own people, he is stubborn enough to share his talent with his own people. He is stubborn enough to give love of classical music to the kids living in far reached villages of the country. Thank you for sharing your rich world with us, Fazil Say. Thank you for stopping the time and taking us to a dream world while you play. Thank you for being around us.
(Bach-Che is a word game he created to describe his garden. Bahce means garden in Turkish).

Loving Yasmin Levy

I would never believe if someone told me that I was going to meet Yasmin Levy in person in a small city of North Carolina. I found out that it was high time to remember the common sense: “never say never". When I missed her concert in Istanbul last October, I was very mad at being in such a far away land. What a coincidence, she came to Wilmington, NC one day before my departure to Istanbul. I would have been even madder if I hadn't decided to postpone my trip for one day. In the concert, that gorgeous voice brought a flutter to every one's heart as usual. At the end of the event, everyone was applauding her and she was recommending us to go to bed :) But it's never enough to listen to her...And how can we simply go back to bed after these emotional moments?

Her magnificent voice talking about Turkey in that far away country made me feel home. Especially when I heard the song talking about Istanbul with a part Turkish sentence in it which we have been singing since God knows when, I couldn't believe in my ears. I couldn't help singing with her. I think it's not hard to guess that I was the only one. :) After the concert, when I had the chance to tell her that I was Turkish, she said that she knew it as soon as she saw me. We were too closed to her during the concert that she also knew that someone else was singing with her. I think this warmth comes from having a common history on the same land. Having a background enriched by different languages, different religions and different cultures on a land where melts all of them together to create this big colorful mosaic...

She will be back to Turkey in April with 8 concerts. Good news for her fans from Turkey !

Ich würde nie glauben, wenn jemand sagte mir, ich wollte mich mit Yasmin Levy persönlich in einer kleinen Stadt in North Carolina treffen. Ich fand heraus, sag niemals nie! Als ich ihr Konzert im Oktober letzten Jahres verpasst hab, war ich sehr wütend darauf, dass ich in einem solchen Land, das weitweg ist , war. Was für ein Zufall, kam sie zu Wilmington, NC einen Tag vor meiner Abreise nach Istanbul. Ich wäre noch ärgerlicher, wenn ich nicht beschlossen habe, meine Reise für einen Tag zu verschieben. Das Konzert war wunderbar wie gewöhnlich. Am Ende der Veranstaltung während alle applaudierten sie, sie empfahl uns, ins Bett zu gehen:)Aber es ist nie genug, um sie zu hören ... und wie können wir nach dieser emotionalen Momente einfach ins Bett gehen ?
Ihre wundervolle Stimme gab mir einem Gefühl wie ich zu Hause bin in diesem weit entfernten Land und wenn ich ein Lied über die Türkei hörte, fing ich sofort an, dieses Lied mit ihr zu singen. Ich denke, es ist nicht schwer zu erraten, dass ich der einzige war :)Nach dem Konzert, wenn ich die Chance, ihr zu sagen, dass ich Türkisch war hatte, sagte sie, dass sie es wussten, sobald sie mich sah. Ich denke, diese Wärme kommt aus mit einer gemeinsamen Geschichte auf der gleichen Fläche. Mit einem Hintergrund von verschiedenen Sprachen, verschiedenen Religionen und verschiedenen Kulturen auf einem Boden angereichert, wo schmilzt sie alle zusammen zum Erstellen dieser großen bunten Mosaik ...

Sie wird wieder im April mit 8-Konzerte in der Türkei sein. Gute Nachrichten für ihre Fans aus der Türkei!
