80s - Laura Branigan...Self Control

While I'm writing the lyrics of the songs,which i listened at the university and the high school, drawing the singers of the musics.

Laura Branigan was born on 3th July,1957 in Brewster, which are located outside of New York City. Self Control(1984) is the most memorable Album of Laura. I lost unfortunately many of her albums wenn I was young. Laura Branigan, most of whose songs I listen to with pleasure, passed away from brain haemorrage on 26 August 2004. She had 4 Grammy awards.

I share the following video with you all to remember again Laura's beautiful voice. Pls close your eyes and go back in time to your youth!

Unfading Flame

As we are the kids of few TV channels of past, the place of Olympic games in our hearts is unique. Is there anybody who does not miss those days that we used to sit in front of TV altogether and watch friendly competitions of athletes from different nations, races, and genders? We did not have either internet, nor plenty of TV shows, but we were more aware of what was going on in the world. We would pay close attention to Winter Olympics, Open Tennis Tournaments, world records which would be broken one after other.  We would talk about the success of sportsmen rather than talking about our friends' Facebook updates.

Seeing an Olympic Game Opening Ceremony live is my dream. I'm hoping to make this dream come true before I get old. I'm worried about falling asleep during the ceremony like Queen of UK if I get too old. Can you imagine? Wait for years to be there, and then feel tired and sleep :) I had the chance to watch the ceremony on TV and loved it. Especially I love when the countries start carrying their flags.

I must admit that I felt a little ignorant when I saw all these countries that I had never heard of before. I decided to study more world map from now on. Some countries had hundreds of athletes, some had only one who carried the flag. That's the beauty of the Olympic Games: It is not how many athletes a county has, it is joining to games what matters the most. 

Let the Olympic flame keep burning and keep bringing all nations together for a better world!

Bubu&Ole Proudly Presents

We actually made below illustrations a while ago; however we made sure that gifts were received by their owner before sharing them on our blogs. Dear Burcu wanted to give a special gift her boyfriend for their 3rd anniversary and asked us if we could help her out with that. She sent us some of their photos together and we created below illustrations for her with great pleasure.

First illustration is from Bubu. This cure cute couple unfortunately is in a long distance relationship; therefore Bubu imagined them getting away on a Vespa right when before the roads separated.

Second illustration is from Ole. We also wanted to illustrate their faces closer like in their photos. I also wanted to add a train detail with the hearts going even faster than the train. This train will hopefully make her reach her boyfriend as fast as possible.

Question: What if coffee mugs were a family?

Bubu and Ole give their personal answers to the same specific questions. Ole's family is more like career concerned whereas Bubu's family is intellectual and all about reading.

What I Wore...

I'm being lazy and forgetting things that i've already illustrated for my post. :( Then i decided to post the above illustrations together.
The summer semester at the University began a week ago in Stuttgart. It means that i am constantly on the road and spend all my time drawing and reading. Last day it crossed my mind to make a "what i wore" post as an illustration. I will continue occasionally to post this kind of posts. Now i have to go and study...lol =^_^=
