the worst styles from Oscars night

Eventhough there is a common sense that everyone turns head to stare at again and again because of either an adoration or abomination, there are of course some bad styling samples to share as usual. Here are the celebrities who failed last night.

Miley Cyrus
Doesn't she look like a christmas tree in her unnecessarily layered Zuhair Murad dress? She looks extra old in this dress as well as looking more like Cinderella than a celebrity.
Kate Winslet
She might be the Best Actress winner, but not the Best Dress winner. In her one shoulder Yves St. Laurent gown, she looks classy but old and over weight.

Jessica Biel
Designer dress doesn't give you the guarantee of making you look fabulous all the time just like this Jessica Biel case. In her draped Prada piece, she just looks messy also because of her which seems to have made up the night before going to bed.

Heidi Klum
I am in double about her look. She is really hot and young with this red color, maybe I just didn't like this Roland Mouret wreck. I wonder how much better she would look with a better dress.

Beyonce
Any comment? That dress with big leaves and big roses!!! Is Beyonce serious?! Such a beautiful woman was successful enough to make herself look like a big mermaid with big hips thanks to this dress.

best dresses of oscar

Everyone has been waiting to see this big event of the year as usual. As usual, celebrities had to work on what they wore since the next day's news was about nothing but them. Red carpet, beautiful women and men, and the luxury...The lavishness at the red carpet didn't seem to have shrinked because of the recession though.
Obviously, favorite color was white. Celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker in her Dior gown and Penelope Cruz in her vintage Balmain gown were like brides. Anne Hathaway's glowing paillette-covered Armani Privé and Jennifer Aniston's Valentino dress were slim with a sexy silhouette. Having said that, I have to mention that this year's big silhouette was strapless for sure. Angelina Jolie with a classy gown and green jewelleries were more like a goddess than a human being. Halle Berry proved that she was a mum but still hot.

hello barbie, let's go party!

Barbie turned her 50 this year. But she is still very dynamic, energetic and creative. As part of Mattel’s global birthday celebration, she made her runway debut in Bryant Park. 50 designers, including Anna Sui, Betsey Johnson, Calvin Klein, Diane Von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Trina Turk, and Tracy Reece, created looks for the show. These life-size outfits will be one of a kind and available for sale, some of them at Bloomingdale's.
Of course, general appearance and mood is very Barbie looking, pinkie and girlish. It's like you can find anything you need in this collection for your wardrobe if you want to live like a Barbie, from a rainy day to a trip to the airport, from your wedding to a summer cocktail party.
We should add a footnote by the way. The world’s largest Barbie store is opening in Shanghai early March, complete with a spa and a bridal service that offers a $15,000 Vera Wang gown. The buyer of the gown will receive a Barbie with the same dress on.
Barbie is also launching a new beauty line this year with cheeky and fun boutiques in stores like Fred Segal in Santa Monica. There will be a Barbie boutique in Bloomingdale's next week with Barbie brand clothing and other goodies. As you see, the older Barbie gets, the wiser she becomes...

Blythe doll modelling for McQueen

Yeap, you got it correct. Either we are back to our childhood, or we wanna go back or some people wants us to go back. Mac with Hello Kitty line, Barbie dolls at New York Fashion Week and now a Blythe doll modelling for Alexander McQueen designs for target...

Apparently another new trend is glamorous and thrilling, but still laid back and dark style of Rock and Roll culture. Collaboration of Target and McQueen, aims to provide high fashion with affordable prices. Theme of the collection is inspired by the British rock band The Duke Spirit. Collection debut is on March 4th, soon to come. It's possible to get a reminder from the webpage, highly recommended since the prices start from 19.99;)

feel the rhythm in your feet

Converse's music collection is an awesome option for music lovers. Especially if you are a fun of a legendery rock group or a person, you will adore these designs. Kurt Cobain, Black Sabbath and The Doors are only few of them. Check it out online if you are a Converse fan, since they can ship them all around the world. Except the Ozzy ones at the bottom which are 100$, the rest are only 49$.

Blythe Dolls for Fashion

Blythe is a doll created in 1972 by designer Allison Katzman with the now-defunct U.S. toy company Kenner. Reportedly, she was modelled after drawings by Margaret Keane, similarly to many other dolls of the '60s and '70s. Her most distinctive and notable feature were eyes that changed color with the pull of a string attached to the back of her head. Due to a lack of interest, Blythe dolls were only sold for one year in the U.S. (produced in Hong Kong), during 1972.

Many of these dolls have Asian or anime style features. Clothing lines may include Asian themes and in some cases Asian names (such as "Momoko" or "Taeyang". Some Asian fashion dolls are dominated by Western dress, such as with Momoko Doll's lineup, Pullip's wardrobe, or the extensive Jenny fashions. More traditional Asian dress is also represented, such as with kimono-centric Annz dolls. A number of other dolls also dress in kimonos such as Jenny, Momoko, Pullip, etc.

Who knows, maybe these dolls will be the most wanted models for fashion in the future:) I am still waiting for these dolls to be sold in Turkey. As soon as they come here, i will get many of them. Opps, if i have enough money:)
