I know it's horrendously hot which makes you feel worn out. You might not even get out of your indoors, since the hot wind blows right on your face. However, think about the smelt of water melon, vibrant colors of summer flowers, fresh summer vegetables, lively beaches, sound of ocean, easy going outfits, cool summer parties and happy faces once again...As I was surfing Flickr for the word "Summer" here I came up with few photos I picked together with a saying of a Flickr user : "Life without a love is like a year without a summer." Looking at these smarmy ads, it is impossible not to ask where to get and how to get....These shocking and scandalous car rental ads are attempting to use the tradition of sex and cars going hand-in-hand. Images of young women legs with pantyhose looking like a road seemed very straight and far beyond imagination since sexual suggestiveness is a weak and the least intellectual way of creating an ad concept like this.

The L’Officiel July/August 2009 Russia issue has a cover shot that has a breathtaking creative idea. Cover shot and as magazine's company, the jewellery editorial have shots of Alexandra Zaharova and Ilya Plotnikov of Doberman Studio in Moscow who was behind the idea of creating a set of papercraft jewellry for fashionwear. Origami inspired couture jewelleries and clothes such as bows, skirts, wings, scarves, dresses are just so beautiful. This idea of creating a full dress made of unexpected materials such as plates, forks, and paper has been used by different designers quiet a bit. However, I believe these guys went far beyond that by extending the limits of the items as well as the creativity in designing each item.

Punk and Rihanna

How closed do you think these two words would get closer in your mind? Punk and Rihanna? My answer would be like "no relation at all" until I saw these photos of Rihanna's latest hair style. Her hair style in music video of Umberella was pretty girlish and popular at that time. Do you think she would be strong enough to affect the hair fashion in this direction? Well, not everyone has such a perfect face and figure like her, so I am not sure.

She was seen on July 16th in New York City with both sides of her head completely shaved, with a longer layered section left in the center. With her big rocky eagle ear-rings, and skinny jeans, she looks like a rebellion. With her new trendy look, Rihanna seems to be supporting Cassie's new one side shaved hair style. I still need sometime to get used to look this look...
